Redefining the Tech Event Experience THROUGH A VIBRANT BRAND

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The IT software provider reached out to us with a clear vision: to give their annual tech event a fresh, modern look and feel.  With an already strong network of partners and clients, the team wanted to reimagine the event experience for them while also attracting new audiences.

Building on the clients’ numerous brand concepts and event ideas they envisioned, our goal was to unify it all under one vivid, cohesive concept.

GOALS

15%
conversion rate from landing page to registration
30%
improved average time on page compared to the previous version
2K
event registrations in total

COMPETITIVE EDGE

While most tech events lean toward minimalism, heavily formal corporate aesthetics, and session-packed agenda, our client wanted to choose a different path this time.

The key focus was shifted to building the conference that could serve as a hub for tech innovation.  In doing so, the event had to be backed up by:

→  seasoned speakers showcasing with proven real use cases of business creativity;
→  practical sessions breaking down the approaches and results of various experimentation techniques;
→  extensive tech expo of forward-looking brands;
→  creative spaces powered by local artists (featuring creativity workshops, design-thinking sessions, business creativity awards, digital art exhibits & immersive installations, and more).

Inspired by those ideas, we rolled up our sleeves.

PROJECT SCOPE

Since a creativity-driven event needed to stand out from a first glance, we made sure of it. And there was an unexpected twist to it.

Beyond the common landing page sections (speakers, partners, agenda, etc.), we added an interactive feature that allowed website visitors to upload their photo and receive an event-themed adaptation of it. They could choose from a variety of artsy, customized backgrounds, add their own visual elements, and create their own “event avatar.”

There was also a quick-share option to instantly upload it to social media. This way, the goal was to build on the virality and boost the event’s brand presence.

When reshaping the event’s style, we closely collaborated with our client to ensure their vision was perfectly reflected in the new branding and design. Together, we developed a bold, eye-catching visual identity that perfectly captured the spirit of innovation on the new website.

The process involved:

• Discovery. Cultural research, interviews (with founders, local artists, tech innovators, etc.), competitor and market research, tone alignment between technology and creativity.

• Branding. Visual identity (logo system, typography, color palette, graphic system, brand strategy & positioning guidelines (tone of voice, key messaging, etc.).

• UI/UX design. Motion-driven storytelling, modular speaker sections, animated transitions, dynamic agenda flows, immersive visuals.

• Webflow development. CMS built for rapid content refresh integration with real-time registration analytics, and more.

approaching excellence: how we step in

DESIGN CHECK

Every website element was designed to feel modern and encourage engagement:

Dynamic layouts built on modular grids, making it easy to add and adjust content blocks featuring speakers, sessions, partners, and conference highlights.

Interactive elements to enhance a sense of vitality (motion cues, transitions, hover effects, and dynamic gradients, etc.).

CULTURE CHECK

The event rebranding aimed to shape the event’s emotional creativity-first tone, achieved through:

Vabrant color language: electric gradients, bold contrasts, deep accent tones, adaptive color shifts.

Inclusive brand tone that invites participation and openness to new tech ideas.

Textures and visual motifs inspired by local art and design communities.

TECHNOLOGY CHECK

The tech stack was tailored to the event’s specific needs:

Webflow CMS optimized for quick content updates and future event editions.

Flexible component architecture supporting content-rich sections like speaker lists, schedules, and galleries.

Integration of analytics tools to track engagement, conversions, and registrant’s data.

the impact in motion

The rebrand reshaped the website into a dynamic experience rather than a static page. As a result of the design and event’s positioning being unique and eye-catching, the event gained traction within the community.

This, in turn, significantly boosted the event’s website performance metrics, such as:

•  Visitor engagement and time on page;

• Repeat visit frequency and content interactions;

• Organic traffic growth through community shares and referrals.

This brand evolution is expected to boost the following app metrics:

•  Higher session duration and recipe engagement per user

• Improved retention and repeat app visits
 • Organic growth trough in-app referrals

KEY OUTCOMES

•  A bold visual identity that celebrates creativity in tech

•  A dynamic conversion-driven landing page with a strong focus on storytelling and interaction

•  An easy-to-manage event website serving as an innovation and knowledge hub even after the event.

CLIENT PERSPECTIVE

Marketing Director

“We were impressed by how well Baller aligned the design and branding with our vision, to the extent it felt like they were an extension of our team. As a result, the new brand captured what we’d always imagined but couldn’t execute ourselves”.
